GLUCOMETER STRIPS
The Biosense Sync glucometer strips have been designed for rapid estimation of blood glucose levels. The performance of this accurately designed test strip has been shown to be comparable to other invasive laboratory tests. This strip can record blood glucose levels from as low as 20 mg/dL to up to 700 mg/dL requiring only a drop of finger-prick blood.
SAFETY LANCETS
When it comes to capillary blood glucose monitoring, the necessity of a lancet in crucial to draw the sample. Safety lancets are retractable needles that prevent accidental pricks and reduce risk of infection. With an in-built single use system, these lancets are excellent travel partners. This high-speed device ensures minimal prick sensation, yet drawing adequate amount of blood for testing. REGULAR LANCETS
Lancets or the regular lancets are integral to make puncture wounds for drawing capillary blood in testing. Fit with a double-edged needle, regular lancets however need to be used with care as they pose an increased risk of sharp injuries and infection as the needle remains exposed even post use. However, with the use of a lancing pen, the safety aspect is covered to a great extent.
URS10 Strips
The Biosense URS10 checks for the following ten parameters in urine; Urobilinogen, Glucose, Bilirubin, Ketones, Specific gravity, Blood, pH, Protein, Nitrite, Leukocytes. This strip aids in rapid analysis requiring as less as 2 seconds contact with the urine sample. Further on, the test involves imaging of the strip at preset intervals by the reader followed by calculation of the values. Though calibrated to accuracy, the strip can yield false-positive and negative reporting in the presence of interfering chemicals in the urine. The Biosense URS10 strip bottle is available in pack size of 100 test strips in each.
ACR STRIPS
The URS 2AC strip comes in a separate color coded bottle and tests for two parameters; microalbumin and creatinine. This strip aids in rapid analysis requiring as less as 2 seconds contact with the urine sample. Further on, the test involves imaging of the strip at preset intervals by the reader followed by calculation of the values. The Biosense URS 2AC strip bottle is available in convenient pack sizes of 25 and 50 test strips in each.
